Ah, Saturday. A day to relax (post- long run, if you’re like me). A day to reflect on the week that has past. A day to read a few blogs and be inspired. Don’t have time to do that? It’s okay. Just read this…
Five Foods I Want To Try
On Monday, Amanda wrote about her Cookies ‘N Cream Oreo Fudge Brownies. I don’t think I need to say anything about these – just take a look. They speak for themselves, I promise. I’m tempted to try a blondie version of these soon.

Growing up, spaghetti was served quite frequently in my house – probably because it’s an easy way to fill up four children who’ve just returned from swim practice. While I honestly loved (and still love) plain old spaghetti or angel hair with tomato sauce, I just can’t get over these little Spaghetti Nests that Marla made. Such a fun (and spicy) change of pace.
I’ve been going a little pumpkin crazy this week. I managed to eat pumpkin every day this week. So it’s no surprise that these next two breads caught my eye.

First, Maria made Pumpkin Nutella Bread. Now, the last time I had Nutella it was smothered all over a Murray’s bagel. With peanut butter. Needless to say, the bar has been raised on all things Nutella-filled. But I’m pretty certain this bread would hold its own against the bagel. What’s that? You don’t have Nutella in your pantry? That’s okay. Julie showed us how to make Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. Add this to the list of reasons I need to get myself a food processor.
The other bread that caught my eye? That would be Jessica’s Double-Decker Pumpkin Bread. Any recipe with the words ‘double-decker’ and ‘pumpkin’ is sure to catch my eye. In a strange turn of events, however, I’m hesitant to eat this. What can I say, some people don’t like veggies, and others are fussy about cream cheese. But if there’s ever going to be a way I can handle cream cheese, it may be accomplished through this bread.
That is all. Let me know if I missed anything. I’m off to decorate a cake before I head to Syracuse – Go Orange!
