Welcome to Little Bitty Bakes!

I’m Liz — formerly nicknamed Little Bitty — and this is my blog.  If you love food, you’ve come to the right place.  I love creating recipes that are simple and practical, but still fun and delicious.  From decadent desserts to nourishing salads and everything in between, I love food, and this is where I share it.

Sometimes I think I actually enjoy preparing it more than I do eating it!  I love the creativity involved in brainstorming recipe ideas… the way spending hours in the kitchen can clear my mind… the successes, the failures… and seeing (or hearing from) people enjoy my creations!

After starting to lose track of the random sweet treats I’d often make in the kitchen, I created Little Bitty Bakes nearly two years ago as a way for me to keep track of my recipes.  It’s turned out to be so much more than I ever imagined — and that’s a good thing!

When I’m not in the kitchen (or at work), you can likely find me running.  Given the choice between food or running, I think I’d grab the food and run! ;)  I’ve completed one two marathons and am currently training for my second third.  I’m the youngest of four siblings and the daughter of two former marathon runners — I guess you could say it’s in the blood!

I’m from and currently live in Central New York, home to snowy winters, the Syracuse Orange, Wegmans, and farmland as far as the eye can see!

Have a question?  Just want to say hi?  Pop on over to my contact page!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Liz!

My name is Carmen, I am 18 years old and I am from Spain. I found your blog thanks to a link from another who had a picture of one of your delightful creations.

I LOVE your blog. I think it is really beautiful. And I have decided to write to you here because I do love cooking too and I usually go running.
I really like it. It takes my stress away and allows me to relax and think about how beautiful life really is.

Another thing that has shocked me from your blog and you is that you are from Syracuse, right?
I was there -well, at Jamesville- and I spent two months with an American Family. I really had a nice time and, right there is where I decided to begin running.

I am not as professional as you are, of course.
I just run 30 minutes or 40, 4 times a week.

And I like to have healthy habits too.

I will definately come to your blog and take some recipies, if you don’t mind!!

P.S. I am on my first school year (Studying the LAW career). If I was given a 2nd chance to change my studies, I would take Cooking.
You can e-mail me at my e-mail adress and tell me anything you want.

Thank you so much for reading my comment.

Carmen.

Hi Carmen – thanks for the note! Such a small world that you were over here and so close to where I live. Hopefully you weren’t here during the winter!

Good luck with school, sounds like you’ve got a great future!

Ha, that’s funny! And probably explains our free-spirited baking personalities. We really should do a fact sheet!
