Whew, TGITh! The days are flying by right now as I scramble to finish up school for the semester, but I made sure to share something with you today, which is quite holiday-appropriate….
Do you know what the best holiday gift is for someone you don’t know what to buy?
Food. Everybody eats food. Most people love food. See, it’s practical and satisfying.
So, to recap… if you’re stumped on what to buy for someone this holiday season, give them food. Specifically, give them this oatmeal raisin cookie granola.
Naturally, I choose to eat my cookie granola with a cup of Chobani Greek yogurt… but I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t also enjoy it by the handful.
If you’re feeling extra giving, bake up a batch of chocolate chip cookie granola and peanut butter cookie granola alongside the oatmeal raisin cookie granola. Cookie granola trio! If that’s not the best gift ever, I don’t know what is.
(except maybe this).
Oatmeal raisin cookies in granola form. For extra flavor, add half teaspoon cinnamon to the mixture before baking. Makes about 4 cups Prep time: 20 minutes Cook time: 30 minutes Heat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. In a medium mixing bowl, stir the cookie dough and oats until mixed well. Crumble the mixture onto the prepared pan. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every half way through baking, until the granola is light golden brown. Add the raisins to the granola and stir; bake 5 minutes. Allow the granola to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container for storage. *For the cookie dough, I use my favorite oatmeal raisin cookie dough recipe, preparing the same way I always do. But when you’re about to add the raisins, stop. Measure out a cup of cookie dough, and use this to prepare the granola. Save the rest of the cookie dough for future granola batches, or snacking.

I love giving food for presents./ And funny thing is, I’ve had oatmeal cookie granola on my list of things to make but you beat me to it! Looks wonderful.
Ha, too funny – great minds think alike.
Make it anyway, I’m sure yours would be a little different!
Looks quite delicious! I love the combination of raisin and oatmeal so I am sure I would love this.
when i first saw your cookie granola recipe, i knew you had a TON more up your sleeve. Now THIS is how I can get through my long runs and hours + hours of baking extravaganzas…. oatmeal raisin cookie granola.
I think I might have one more cookie granola before the holidays.
It’s semi-healthy because of the oats, right?!
